Today`s editions of the Italian daily Il Tempo carries an article or better said and interview with out captain Luciani Zauri revealing that the latter has agreed to extended his currect contract unil June 2012, which will basically mean he will end his career with Lazio. This is certainly some good news as Zauri has [...]

Well, there is little to write about Lazio these days, especially because of the International friendliess and matches for qualification to Euro 2008. Hence my blogging has decreased in the last 3-4 days.
However, there are a couple of things worth mentioned today.
It appears that Massimo Mutarelli has fully recovered from the injury that kept him [...]

Well, it appears that when you are worried the most, things happen or at least easier and vice-versa. To demonstrate this we this Empoli match from last night which Lazio won so confidently by applying for the firt time in year the best finishing. See Mauri`s assist to Pandev in the first goal and Mauri-Pandev-Rocchi [...]

Lazio meet Empli in what seems to be a crucial match for both teams for their Champions League aspirations for next season. Lazio and Empoli are the most pleasant surprises of the current Serie A campaign as they seat third and fifth respectively in the standings.
Lazio will still be without central defender Cribari who is [...]

Yesterday I posted an entry about Sergio Almiron, one of the main Lazio targets for the summer, while today, I will be writing something about another target, Reggina`s right back Giandomenico Mesto (in picture). Truth to be told, we were serioulsy interested in him last January when Oddo was sold to Milan but at the last [...]

At the very beginning, let me say that Sergio Almiron (in picture on the left) is an Argentinian player who currently plays for Serie A`s biggest surprise team, Empoli, who currently lie on the 5th place in the standings, in front of the teams like AC Milan, Fiorentina, Udinese, Sampdoria etc.
Now something about Almiron`s skills and [...]

2 vs. 3
What a win! Totally unexpected for me to be honest, considering the players injured and suspended. I never though this team will show such a spirit and win despite being 1-0 down after a terrific shot by Tedesco.
More than any other victory, this one showed to me that Delio Rossi and the [...]

Every team facing Reggina away suffers a lot, because they are strong when playing at home and have a fantastic and noisy crowd supporting their team for 90 minutes. The same applies to Lazio as I recall when we were beaten on several occasions at the hands of Reggina and what is more, we even [...]
